Joe Born

Joe Born is an entrepreneur with ten-years of experience working with China, including working with numerous 3rd party vendors and starting three wholly owned company divisions in China and Taiwan. His first company, Digital Innovations, is a consumer electronics manufacturer with a branded product line represented in over 35,000 outlets worldwide. When Digital Innovations started in 1995, its manufacturing base was entirely in the USA. Mr Born led the company through a difficult transition to use China as not only a central manufacturing base but as a design and engineering base as well.

Today Mr Born is the CEO of Neuros Technology, a consumer electronics company with offices in the US, Taiwan and China. Neuros Technology manufactures innovative multimedia consumer electronics products including digital video set-top boxes for the home. Neuros Technology has developed a unique open design methodology to ensure that design and manufacturing work done worldwide will meet the quality and usability standards demanded by a global, competitive marketplace.

Koichiro Nakamura

Mitsubishi Corporation
Koichiro Nakamura is an Assistant Manager in the Mitsubishi Corporation's internal new business development division, "Innovation Center". He also serves on the Board of Director of Innovation Kitchen, Mitsubishi's incubation vehicle.

Koichiro rejoined Mitsubishi after completing his MBA in 2007. In Mitsubishi, Koichiro worked in telecommunication division responsible for the internet service in subsidiary telecoms. He also led multiple startup companies. He created and exited Japan's first Application Service Provider, Datastations (acquired by ValueCommerce:TSE Mothers 2491). Prior to Mitsubishi, he was one of the founding members of Yahoo! Japan.

Koichiro graduate from Waseda University, with a Bachelor of Law. Koichiro holds an MBA from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business. He is also Kauffman Fellows (Class 12).
 
Anita Y. Tang

Anita Tang is a multi-cultural cross-border business strategist. She helps clients formulate and implement strategies, build and manage networks of contacts, and conduct business negotiations.

Royal Roots Global Inc., the management and investment consultancy she founded in 1994, focuses on U.S.-China business activities. Headquartered in Chicago with a liaison office in Washington D.C. and associates in Hong Kong, Shanghai and Beijing, Royal Roots¡¯ projects cover China, England, France, Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States.

Before getting into cross-border consulting, Ms. Tang founded two commodities trading and investment firms ¨C in the United States and in Singapore ¨C after engaging in successful foreign exchange and debit market trading activities for four major European banks in Hong Kong, from where she was sent for training in Singapore, Japan and France.

Ms. Tang is a frequent speaker in Illinois¡¯ and China¡¯s business, government, and academic communities. She is also regularly interviewed by the press to share her experience in the U.S.-China space; she is quoted by such media vehicles as WTTW Channel 11, Financial Times, Crain Chicago Business, China Daily, China Fortune, World News Journal and Xinhua News Agency.

Ms. Tang graduated Summa cum Laude from Loyola University Chicago with a BBA in economics. She also earned an MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
