Students in the EMG are interested in exploring the important issues facing the world's developing countries. Many members either have worked in or are considering working in an emerging market, and others are simply eager to learn more about emerging markets.

Throughout the school year, the Emerging Markets Group hosts a year-long speaker series, job search discussions and various social events, as well as our capstone event in the spring, the Chicago Microfinance conference.

Joining the Emerging Markets Group:

Membership fees are $25 for one year, $40 for two years, payable via check written to the University of Chicago, with Emerging Markets Group written in the memo line. Checks can be dropped off in the Emerging Markets Group mail folder (in the Hyde Park Center business school).

Membership benefits include:

• email announcements of relevant job opportunities
• free admission to our speaker series events or lunches
• discount admission to the microfinance conference
• invites to our social events
