Exploring New Frontiers
The 4th Annual Glencoe Capital Venture Capital Investment Competition (VCIC) at the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business (GSB) will take place on January 25, 2008 at the Charles M. Harper Center in Hyde Park.
The VCIC invites students to play the role of venture capital investors. During the competition, student participants interview real-world entrepreneurs, assess the entrepreneurs’ business plans, and then present investment recommendations to a judging panel of distinguished real-world venture capitalists. The competition is held annually in late January to decide which team of students will represent the GSB at the Midwest Regional VCIC the following month. The winning team will receive travel reimbursement to the regional competition and to the national competition if the team advances.
We are proud to announce that last year’s winning team placed first in the regional competition and fifth in the national competition.
