About
the GBC:
The Graduate Business Council (GBC) is the elected student body government for
the GSB that acts as the umbrella organization for all other campus student
groups. Our primary objective is to help maximize students' life experiences
while they are at the GSB, so that they can take full advantage of all the exceptional
resources here, and be excited about maintaining their link with this great
institution years after they graduate. From academics to bars, careers
to clubs, the GBC has information on all the student groups, social events,
career opportunities, Chicago and Hyde Park events that students want to know.
The GBC Structure:
The GBC is made up of six executive officers (see GBC
Executive Officers' section) as well as other elected
representatives from each cohort. Our responsibilities are to support
and enhance the overall experience of students. We work with 51 student
groups and clubs to organize events ranging from career conferences to panel
discussions to organizing formal galas and boat cruises. also represent the entire
student body to faculty and administration and lead many of the initiatives for
change. We make every effort to meet the needs and interests of the entire student
body.
