Formal:

• Organize and facilitate formal event which takes place in the Winter Quarter;
• Plan budget;
• Select caterer and venue in consultation with caterer;
• Select Band/DJ and entertainment;
• Run ticket sales and promote and publicize event;
• Secure photographer and assist with promoting student photo purchases;
• Night-of-event responsibilities including guest check-in and event wrap-up;
• Assist with updating best practice documentation to ensure smooth transition of future GBC Social Chair and committee members.

Spring Boat Cruise / Semi-formal Event:

• Plan, organize and facilitate semi-Formal event which takes place in the Spring Quarter;
• Select venue, menu/music/special events;
• Promote and publicize event and sell tickets;
• Hire bus company and create bus schedules;
• Assist with updating best practice documentation to ensure smooth transition of future GBC Social Chair and committee members.
