Our
Events
The MCG is one of the largest student organizations at the
GSB with a membership base of over 400 students. Our mission
is to educate students about the various aspects of consulting
and provide them with opportunities to best position themselves
for their post-MBA career. Every year we achieve this through
various conferences and workshops, Lunch 'n Learn
series, professor led seminars, second year mentoring sessions
and multiple other activities.
Historically,
the MCG has used sponsorship proceeds from firms to cover the costs
of our main conferences and to help offset the costs of other group-sponsored
events throughout the year.
We would like to highlight some of our main events below.
| SECOND YEAR CASE WORKSHOP
Second Year Case Workshop is intended to
help second-year GSB students practice their case solving
and interview preparation skills. Historically, this
workshop is attended by over 100 students who go through
an initial case prep overview and then break into smaller
groups for case practice with alumni and professionals
in the industry. Lunch is provided during the workshop.

FIRST YEAR MCG NETWORKING
NIGHT
Our new event, First Year MCG Networking Night,
gives first-year students the first opportunity to learn
about our sponsored firms and network with their representatives
over drinks. This event intends to let students get
an idea of each firm's culture, work style, and what
they are looking for from a candidate. Students interested
in pursuing an internship in the management consulting
area should attend this event.

FIRST YEAR
CAREER FORUM
Career Forum is intended to give first-year
students an opportunity to learn more about the various
aspects of consulting. This is the MCG's largest event,
typically attended by more than 200 students every year.
The event starts with a keynote speaker and then breaks
out into smaller panels and seminars. At lunch, another
keynote speaker will have an opportunity to introduce
consulting or talk about industry trends from their
company's perspective. The forum heads back into a final
round of panels and events and concludes mid-afternoon. |

industry. Lunch is provided during the workshop.
