Saturday 8/23 Mid-morning flight leaving from Chicago O'hare
Sunday 8/24 Arrive in Cairo. Transfer to hotel and chill out.
Monday 8/25 Full day tour of the Pyramids, Sphinx, Memphis, & Sakkara
Tuesday 8/26 Cairo tour including Egyptian Museum, Citadel, Mohamed Ali Mosques, & Khan El Khalili bazaar
Wednesday 8/27 Morning free time in Cairo. Then fly south to Luxor.
Thursday 8/28 Tour Valley of the Kings, The Colossi of Memnon, Ramaseum, El Madinah Monastery, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut
Friday 8/29 Visit the East Bank of the Nile including Karnak and Luxor Temples. More free time to explore the Nile.
Saturday 8/30 Fly back to Cairo with free time to explore
Sunday 8/31 Head back to the city of big shoulders… CHICAGO!

Why This Trip

This trip is for you if you:

  • Want to explore one of the ancient cultures of the world. We'll take you to all the great treasures including the Giza Pyramids, the Sphinx, Luxor, Valley of the Kings, and the oldest bazaar.
  • Want to go on a trip led by the coolest second years on campus.
  • Like the heat and want a suntan, a serious one.

This trip is not for you if:

  • Are looking for five days of luxury and pampering. We are packing in a great trip in a busy schedule and will be on the go.
  • You do not like hot weather, sand, or the sun.
